Imo Oyewole is the Managing Consultant of Global Talent Network-HR Consultants (GTN-HR), an HR consulting firm in Nigeria. Imo’s professional experience spans a period of over thirty years in the areas of Human Resource (HR) Management and Administration in the Banking and Finance sector of Fortune 100 companies. Her rise to Vice President at Citibank Nigeria exposed her to several management and human resources programs in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. Her most recent assignment, prior to setting up a consulting practice in HR management, was to help develop the HR function for Citigroup’s 102-nation ‘e-business’ group out of Stamford Connecticut, USA as Vice President and HR Senior Generalist.
Imo holds a Masters in Administration with concentration in Human Resource Management from Pace University, New York, USA and is an active member of SHRM and World-at-Work. She is a certified HR Practitioner, Coach and Training Facilitator.
Imo has taught as guest faculty at Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan Atlantic University, Lagos and has frequently volunteered as an Expert In Residence (EIR) in the field of HR Management.
Imo sits on the board of Linkage Assurance Plc. as a non-executive director (NED) and serves on three of her board committees. Her drive for women development has led her to set up New Beginnings, an NGO which supports widows and indigent women in the south-eastern region of Nigeria.
